No overselling, no guesswork — just a Heat Pump Repair crew that diagnoses it right the first time. Same-day appointments available across Fox Lake and the surrounding zip codes.
Call +1-866-805-8548 and describe what your system is doing — the symptoms help us send a tech prepared with the right parts.
Ask as many questions as you want; we'd rather over-explain than leave you unsure.
Warranty details are explained clearly so you know exactly what's covered going forward.
Leonard HVAC didn't start as a franchise chasing volume. Our crews carry manufacturer certifications across the major residential and commercial equipment lines.
We're not the biggest name in Fox Lake — we're the company that tells you what actually needs fixing instead of what pads the ticket. Every job we run is backed by full liability coverage and current state licensing, and we keep that documentation available on request for every job, big or small.
Being local matters more than most companies let on. That local knowledge shapes the parts we stock on the truck — it's the difference between a tech who's guessing and a tech who's seen your exact situation a hundred times before.
Ask around Fox Lake and you'll hear the same complaint about a lot of HVAC companies. That's the gap we built Leonard HVAC to close. We track arrival windows, callback rates, and repeat-issue complaints internally so problems get caught before they become patterns, because a customer who trusts us once tends to call us again — and Fox Lake is a small enough community that reputation travels fast.
Our office team is based locally too, not routed through an out-of-state call center that's never seen a Fox Lake rooftop unit. Our warranty and service history records stay attached to your address, so any future technician who visits already has the full picture.
Whether it's a mid-summer breakdown or a planned system replacement, our Fox Lake techs handle it with the same level of care.
When your Heat Pump Repair system fails without warning, waiting days for an appointment isn't an option. Our Fox Lake dispatch team sends the closest available truck first so a technician is diagnosing your system as fast as physically possible.
If a specialty part genuinely does need to be ordered, we'll set up a safe temporary fix and give you a real timeline instead of leaving you guessing.
If your unit is past its expected service life, running loud, or spiking your utility bill, a replacement conversation is worth having. We walk Fox Lake homeowners through load calculations so the new system is sized correctly for the actual square footage before a single piece of equipment gets ordered.
We protect floors and entryways during the install and haul away the old equipment so you're not left dealing with disposal.
Commercial equipment operates differently than a residential unit, and it needs technicians who actually understand rooftop packages and multi-zone systems. Our commercial division services multi-zone commercial buildouts across Fox Lake, with priority response for facilities that can't afford downtime.
We understand that a commercial call isn't just about comfort, it's about keeping a business open.
Preventive maintenance is the cheapest repair you'll ever pay for, because it's the one that prevents the bigger bill. Beyond standard tune-ups, we also handle indoor air quality upgrades for homes with allergy or asthma concerns for Fox Lake households that want more than just temperature control.
We'll show you photos of anything concerning we find, along with a plain-language explanation of what it means and whether it's urgent.
This is the standard every Fox Lake technician on our team is held to.
If the same issue returns within the warranty period, we come back and fix it at no additional labor cost.
If a competitor's written quote for the same scope of work is genuinely lower, ask us about it.
If anything feels off after we leave, one call gets a tech back to your Fox Lake address.
Catching these signs early usually means a same-day repair instead of an emergency call at the worst possible moment.
Rattling during startup often means a component has worked itself loose and needs tightening before it causes real damage.
If some rooms stay hot or cold no matter what the thermostat says, the system may be struggling to distribute air evenly.
Gradual efficiency loss is easy to miss month to month, but it adds up fast over a season.
A system that won't hold a steady cycle is often fighting a sizing issue, a thermostat problem, or a refrigerant imbalance.
A musty smell often points to mold or moisture buildup somewhere in the ductwork.
We'll always tell you honestly when a repair is the better call versus when it isn't.
No inflated "emergency surcharge" games — the number we quote is the number you pay.
Dispatchers give you a realistic arrival window instead of a vague "sometime today".
If something isn't right after we leave, we come back and make it right.
We run background checks because you're letting someone into your home.
We explain what failed, why it failed, and what the options are.
Replacement systems don't have to be paid in one lump sum.
We don't write these — our customers do.
"I called three other companies first and this was the only one that actually picked up. No pressure to buy a whole new system when a repair was all we needed."
"Scheduled a fall tune-up and they caught a cracked part before it became a real problem. Techs are always polite, always on time, and clean up after themselves."
"Had a full system replacement done and it was the smoothest home project I've had in years. New system is noticeably quieter and our energy bill actually dropped."
"As a property manager, having a company that actually answers after-hours calls is rare. Kept our kitchen running through the weekend rush."
"I appreciated that they didn't try to sell me a bigger unit than I needed. Would use them again without hesitation."
"The tech walked me through what he was checking as he went, which I really appreciated. This is the company I'm saving in my phone now."
After thousands of service calls across Fox Lake, a handful of causes show up again and again.
The shift between peak heating and peak cooling demand is exactly when older or neglected equipment tends to fail. Filters should be checked monthly during heavy-use seasons and replaced roughly every 60-90 days depending on your household and any pets.
Keeping vents unblocked by furniture and rugs helps maintain even airflow throughout the home. None of this replaces a professional tune-up, but it does reduce the wear that leads to premature breakdowns between visits.
We also service package units common on manufactured and modular homes throughout the Fox Lake area. If your system was installed by a different company entirely, that's not a problem — we service equipment regardless of who originally put it in, and we'll pull the model and serial information to confirm parts compatibility before any repair begins.
Every tech on our Fox Lake roster goes through background checks, licensing verification, and ongoing manufacturer training.
